Location Casa Guibbarelli is situated close to the village of Penna San Giovanni within the Le Marche region of Italy. The nearest airports are Ancona, which is approximately one and half hours drive away and Pescara which is approximately the same distance. Both airports are served by Ryanair with daily year round flights. We are roughly 40 minutes drive each way between the two provincial cities of the Le Marche region, namely Macerata (the provincial capital) and Ascoli Piceno. We are no more than 45 minutes drive from the beautiful Adriatic coastal resort of Porto San Giorgio, offering walks along the port side, a blue flag beach and of course top quality Italian sea food restaurants. The town also has a train station with routes to all major cities throughout Italy. The area is constantly in 'Festa' mode, depending on the time of year you arrive, the surrounding towns and villages have many spectacular festivals for you to share in. (ask for further details on arrival) If your forte is history, along with the local roman remains and archaeological sites, the port of Civitanova offers a direct train service to Rome. Closer to home the cities of Urbino and Ascoli Piceno have tremendous renaissance history and architecture. Even closer still, for the shoppers amongst you the towns of Sarnano and Amandola at the foot of the Sibillini national park have weekly markets.
